• Light: Aloe vera plants thrive in bright, indirect light. Place your plant near a window that receives plenty of sunlight throughout the day. They can also tolerate some direct sunlight, especially morning sun, but avoid intense afternoon sunlight which can scorch the leaves.

• Watering: Aloe vera is drought-tolerant and prefers to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly but allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. In winter, reduce watering as the plant goes into a dormant phase.

• Pot and Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti. Aloe vera plants have shallow root systems, so a wide, shallow pot is ideal. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom.

• Fertilizing: Aloe vera plants are not heavy feeders. You can fertilize them lightly with a diluted succulent fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer), but avoid fertilizing during fall and winter when growth slows down.

• Maintenance: Trim off any dead or dried leaves close to the base of the plant using clean scissors or pruning shears. This helps maintain the plant's health and appearance.
